Payroll Deduction and Direct Deposit of Social Security
You can have your paycheck or social security check automatically deposited to your savings or checking account through Direct Deposit.
Paycheck to Savings or Checking Account
If your employer offers direct deposit, they will need the following information depending on whether you would like your paycheck deposited into your checking account or savings account.
Check to see if your payroll department has a specific form they would like you to use. In most cases, they will ask you to provide a voided check from your Star Tech checking account.
However, if you have not yet ordered checks, provide them with the following information:

Social Security to Savings or Checking Account
If you already receive Social Security or SSI benefits or will be applying for benefits soon, enroll in Direct Deposit by:
- signing up at GoDirect.org (Social Security benefits) or
- calling Social Security toll-free at 1-800-333-1795 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) or
- filling out a Direct Deposit Sign Up Form and taking or mailing it to your Social Security Office.
